COVID-19 Corona Virus Update:

A Message from the Rector of St Mary the Virgin, Hayes Revd. Napo John:

Dear Friends

Grace to you all. The Remembrance Sunday Service is one we so eagerly look forward to in St.Mary's Hayes.

For us it is a privilege to welcome the wider Parish community to the church and remember together men and women who gave their lives for this dear county.

This year in spite of the Covid 19 limiting our abilities we still hope to be holding the Remembrance Day Service on the 8 of November. But sadly the number of people attending the church physically will be hugely restricted.

We will be able to accommodate only few civic leaders, the leaders from various organisations that lay wreaths, and a proportion of our regular Sunday congregation. At St. Mary's we are sorry if you are disappointed, however, the good news are that the service will be live streamed from 10:20 on the day.

Please feel welcome to be part of this great service, join us on: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7KNHYfOiKm95VXyQdFg6g

Please note as usual 11 am we will all stand in respect of those who gave their lives and if you are not able to join the service onlineplease do stand at your front door for two minutes with the rest of us.

At your Parish Church we daily remember you in our prayers. If there is anything we can do for you please always feel welcome to contact us.

Pease stay safe and stay blessed. Rev'd Napo John

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . . Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

We will continue to keep you in our prayers

St Mary the Virgin Church has served the people of Hayes, Kent for over 800 years. The Parish comprises 8,500 residents and the church is at the heart of our community.

We embrace people of all ages and backgrounds who have in some way been challenged and changed by the love of God, made known through the work of his Son, Jesus Christ.

We meet together to celebrate that love in our Sunday worship, learn more about it in groups and find strength to convey it in all our relationships.

Day by day we seek the help of the Holy Spirit to know Christ better and make him known to others.

We warmly welcome all who come through the doors of our lovely church.
